The Crest Hardware Art Show
The Crest Hardware Art Show (CHAS) is a unique non-traditional atmosphere to showcase hardware-inspired artwork. The show features over 150 artists; representing areas within and beyond the borders of the five boroughs, including places as close as Massachusetts and as far as Israel, Germany & Korea. CHAS is a unique experience appealing to a broad range of patrons while exhibiting numerous artistic mediums. The ideas and concepts in the art show are rendered on multiple creative levels, allowing for an accessible experience and journey throughout our 10,000+ square feet of indoor and outdoor retail space. Crest Hardware is retooled into a recognized art gallery over the summer. There have been 12 CHAS shows. Average opening day attendance is estimated at 5,000 people.

Crest Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest
For the last 7 years and counting Crest has hosted a night of artistically carved pumpkins, drinks, food, music and good times. We have classic puppet shows to keep the young ones entertained, a DJ to keep it lively & firepits to keep guests toasty. Food is always provided by different local businesses & we make our famous homemade mulled wine. Attendance is always around 300-400 people. We have multiple categories like Most Creative, “A- for effort”, and Best in Show with prizes all donated by local restaurants, bars and shops!
Quickie Crest Film Fest
Quickie Crest Film Fest is a celebration of local film talent in the “Short Short” film medium. We showcase a series of 1 to 7 minute short shorts from NYC-based movie-makers. Each film shifts from genre to genre, keeping with the festival-established theme of “community” - be it personal community, local community, or universal community for the truly ambitious.
